Viewing your Search Results

The list of terms matching your search criteria are displayed on the hit list on the left-hand side of the Terms view and the first entry on the list is displayed on the entry pane on the right-hand side.

Entry Pane

Source language terms and associated descriptive fields are displayed at the top of the entry in the entry pane. Target language terms and descriptive fields are displayed after the source language information. Information associated with other languages are displayed further down in the entry. Use the scroll bar to scroll up and down the entry if necessary.

You can change the entry display by selecting a different layout from the layout drop-down list. For example, if you want to view source and target language terms only, select the default Source/Target layout.

 

Hit List

Use the scroll bar on the right to scroll up and down the hit list.

Use the buttons on the Search and Display toolbar as follows:

 

Display previous set of entries

 

Click to display the previous page of search results. The first term in the set is defined as the current term and the corresponding entry is displayed in the entry pane.

 

Display previous entry

 

Click to display the previous alphabetical entry in the entry pane.  The current source language determines the alphabetical sort order.

 

Display next entry

 

Click to display the next alphabetical entry in the entry pane.

 

Continue search for next set of entries

Click to view the next page of search results in the hit list. The first term in the new set is defined as the current term and the corresponding entry is displayed in the entry pane.

 

 

NOTE

To further explore the contents of a particular termbase, click the termbase name in the hit list pane. The list of terms for the termbase is displayed, the termbase is defined as the default termbase and your search parameters are reset.
