SDL MultiTerm Online allows you to add multimedia files to an entry. These are files such as images or videos, for example.
Check that you have sufficient termbase access rights to carry out the required editing tasks. In addition, note the following:
Certain license restrictions may apply in your MultiTerm environment. For example, if the maximum number of concurrent editors on the network has already been reached, you may be temporarily prevented from carrying out any editing tasks. If necessary, contact your MultiTerm administrator to inform him of your requirements.
If another user is editing the entry you want to edit, you will not be able to open the entry in edit mode.
Go to the Terms view. Perform a search to find the entry you want to edit. Click on the relevant term in the hit list on the left-hand side to open the corresponding entry in the entry pane.
Select a layout from the lower MultiTerm Online toolbar that displays all mandatory fields and the fields you want to edit.
Select the input model you want to use from the Input Model page in the Termbase Management view.
Click Edit entry on the lower MultiTerm Online toolbar. Select the parent field to which you want to add a new multimedia file and right-click to display a list of subordinate fields.
Select the multimedia field from the list. MultiTerm adds the new field as a child of the selected parent field. This field may have a different name depending on how your termbase was set up. For example, the field could be labeled graphic.
Click the Browse button, which is displayed to the right of the multimedia file. Locate the file you want to upload and click Open. A message with a progress bar is displayed, Uploading Multimedia, please wait.
|
Do not perform any other tasks in MultiTerm Online or log out of MultiTerm Online while the multimedia file is uploading otherwise your changes will be lost. |
Once the multimedia file is uploaded, the Uploading Multimedia message disappears. Click Save entry on the lower MultiTerm Online toolbar to exit edit mode. The multimedia file is saved to that entry in the termbase.
To exit the entry editor without saving the entry, click Cancel entry editing.
