Termbase Management Overview

This topic provides information about the termbase objects available to you in each online termbase, such as the layouts, filters and input models, as well as information about the import and export operations available to you. Use the pages in the Termbase Management view to see information about and apply these objects.

Go to the Overview page in the Termbase Management view.

Setting the Layouts

You can set the default layout for a particular termbase from the Layouts page in the Termbase Management view. For more information, see Setting the Default Layout.

Setting Filters

You can set which filters to make available for each termbase from the Filters page in the Termbase Management view. You can activate a filter by clicking the filter icon, Click to activate filter: <filter name>, in the Terms view. For more information, see Using Filters and Setting Filters.

Setting Duplicate Filters

You can set which duplicate filter you want to use to search a termbase for duplicate or inconsistent terms. You can activate a duplicate filter by clicking the filter icon, Click to activate duplicate/ inconsistency filter: <filter name>, in the Terms view. For more information, see Using Duplicate Filters.

Setting Input Models

You can set which input models to make available for each termbase from the Input Models page in the Termbase Management view. An input model provides you with a template for creating and editing termbase entries. Based on the content of the termbase definition, it makes certain fields available for editing and suppresses others so that they are not available at all in edit mode. For more information, see Using Input Models.

Importing and Exporting

You can export terms from and import terms into your termbase from the Import and Export pages in the Termbase Management view. You can specify settings such as how exported terms are sorted and what filter to apply to a termbase during an export or import operation. For more information, see About Importing and Exporting.
