The procedure outlined below is the standard procedure for opening termbases in MultiTerm Online. If your MultiTerm administrator has defined custom settings for MultiTerm Online, the procedure you need to follow may be different.
To open the termbase or termbases you want to use:
Go to the Termbases page in the Home view.
The Termbases page contains a list of the termbases that are available to you in MultiTerm Online. Termbases are sorted alphabetically by name.
The Description column provides basic information about each termbase in the list. A question mark in the About column indicates that additional information is available in the form of an attached document. To access an attachment, click on the question mark; the attachment automatically opens in a separate program window.
Choose the termbase or termbases you want to use by selecting the check box in the Select column.
Click OK to open and display the termbase(s).
If you selected a single termbase, its content is now displayed in the Terms view on the browse and entry panes.
If you selected several termbases, all are open and available for use, however, only the content of the first of these termbases is displayed in the browse and entry panes. This termbase is the default termbase and the termbase name is displayed at the top of the browse pane. All other selected termbases are listed by name at the bottom of the browse pane.

|
The termbase selected by default is the termbase that comes first in alpha-numeric order. For example, if you have a termbase that is called 10-apple and another called apple, 10-apple is the default termbase since it comes first in alpha-numeric order.
