Keyboard Shortcuts

Use the following keyboard shortcuts to move around the entry pane in the Terms view in MultiTerm Online.

Moving between Fields

Use the arrow keys to move around the entry pane in edit mode.

Press:	To move from the selected field label:
[ → ]	to the next subordinate field.
[ ← ]	to the parent field.
[ ↓ ]	to the next field label at the same level in the entry.
[ ↑ ]	to the previous field label at the same level in the entry.

Editing Fields

Use the following keyboard shortcuts in edit mode.

Press:	To:
[Enter]	open the editing box of the currently selected field label.
[Enter]	close the editing box, confirm edits and return the selection to the field label.
[Esc]	close the editing box, disregard edits and return the selection to the field label.
[Tab]	move to the next editable field and open the editing box.
[Del]	delete the currently selected field, its contents and any subordinate fields.
[Shift]+[ ↑ ]	move the selected language (term) field and any subordinate fields up in the language when more than one term exists for a given language.
[Shift]+[ ↓ ]	move the selected language (term) field and any subordinate fields down in the language when more than one term exists for a given language.
[Shift] +[Enter]	enter a line break in the text, while adding or editing content in a text field. Pressing [Enter] closes the editing box.

NOTE

A layout may specify that the content of a particular field or structure (a parent field and any subordinate fields) is hidden by default. To show/hide field content and any nested fields, select the field label and click once.
To go directly to a particular termbase entry, type the entry number in the Search box and press [Alt] + [I]. The corresponding entry is displayed directly in the entry pane.
